Nadal, also in the Quarterfinals!

Rafael Nadal (Spain) wins his last match yesterday to the Gael Monfils (France). Three sets to one, in a four set battle for a spot at the quarterfinals. He is now in the quarterfinals for the 2017 Australian Open.

A very tight and gripping match. Both athletes’ athleticism clearly showing as both of them struggle to catch the tennis ball in every rally. Nadal up by two sets, loses the third set but in an unlucky number of faults and double faults from Nadal’s opponent gave Nadal a second chance. As if the tension in the first half of the competition is not enough, the second half is sure to bring more to the table.
Nadal’s next match for the quarterfinals is with the Canadian M. Raonic.

There is a long way to go but if all bodes well, fans might just see another match from Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal himself.
