Nothing says action like sports action. After watching yet another devastating and shocking defeat of both the current first and second ranked tennis players in the Men’s Division, I was set on preparing myself for another defeat from the only dude left I would love to win this year’s Australian Open.
Good news! For fans all over the world! Roger Federer won against Kei Nishikori in a 3hr and 40 min match. Federer is currently ranked 17th in the world. While the Japanese is ranked 5th. R. Federer lost during the first set 7-6 and won the two sets straight after. However, Nishikori won the fourth set forcing a decider set. Tension screams everywhere in that tennis court I myself could feel it even in my seat in front of the television. Federer wins two straight sets and even won a set at 6 – 1 but the Asian simply did not give up. With their serves reaching up to 180kph (or more, sorry I was too tense while watching), most of the points scored were service aces from both players. Undoubtedly, an epic match indeed. Good shots from both sides and applause whenever a good play is ended. Federer wins the fifth set, 6-3 and is in the quarter finals.
The Swiss player is now one step closer to winning the 2017 Australian Open. With Djokovic and Murray out of the picture, he is the certainly the new crowd favorite. The 35 year-old might just get his 18th Grand Slam this year. You go, sir! You are a legend!
