The Color of Loneliness

It’s red. As dark as blood that drips through our veins.

It’s blue. Like the sky and the oceans. It’s appropriate too. Even the color is used to describe sadness.

It’s black. The absence of light that kills all joy. Like death.

It’s white. Everything colliding all at once. The overwhelming avalanche of hues.

It’s grey. Not white nor black. Because if anything, not knowing where you stand is the worst kind of pain.

Gold. Like when the day meet the night.

Violet. Isn’t it the color of mourning?

A different hue. A different shade. Maybe not one color. Maybe not two. Maybe … loneliness … like love… has no hue.
